Frank David Snyder's Obituary
Frank “David” Snyder of Ft Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 at home.
Born on November 8, 1937 in Denver, Colorado, Dave was the son of Frank Snyder and Margaret (Hohnstein) Snyder.
Dave graduated from Denver North High school and played football on a scholarship at Colorado State College, now known as the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Dave worked for the phone company, and owned a successful business with his wife Rosalie called, “Patty Cakes.”
Known for his love of sports, Dave played and toured with a minor league baseball team. He played racquetball and competed in tournaments, including Colorado State championships. He was active in gymnastics and track. Dave went on to play softball, water ski, bowl, and any other sports activity you could think of. He shared his love of sports with his daughters and grandsons, and was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.
His love of sports was exceeded by his love and devotion to his wife and family. Dave is survived by his wife of 69 years, Rosalie, his daughters Sandra Gorsuch and her husband Les, Stacee Peltz and her husband Kyle, his grandsons Derrick Fox, Dusty Peltz, JD Sisterhen, Dalton Peltz, as well as many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Dave was preceded in death by his Parents Frank and Margaret Snyder, sister Pat Carpenter, brothers Ricky and Jimmy Snyder.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 12:00 noon at:
Ft Myers Memorial Gardens.
