Frank W. McAlister's Obituary
Frank W. McAlister, 89, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born April 13, 1925 in New York City, NY and moved to Fort Myers from Bayville, NY in 1978. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he received a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He retired from Pall Industrial Hydraulics following over 20 years of service. While there, he designed many things that were used for the Apollo Lunar Module and the Space Shuttle Program. Mr. McAlister leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Cheryl McCrosson and husband, Kim of Melbourne, Deborah Francis of Fort Myers, Jean Wash and husband, Shaun of Cape Coral and Claire Piscitello and husband, James of Smithtown, NY. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Catherine McAlister in 1996 and his son, Charles McAlister in 2013. Graveside services will be announced and held at a later date at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
