Fumiko Schuelke's Obituary
Fumiko Schuelke of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 15, 2020 following some recent health challenges. She was 97 years old.
Fumiko was born on August 18, 1922 in Tsuruoka-shi, Japan, the beautiful daughter to Kaneye (Funaoka) and Bunkichi Tazawa. She met her husband John T. Schuelke while he was deployed to Japan as a member of the United States Army and the couple settled in Fort Myers back in 1956.
Immediate funeral ceremonies are private. Arrangements for Fumiko's final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Fumiko will be laid to rest in the Field of Honor at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulvard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555 during an upcoming ceremony held privately and at the convenience of the family.
