G. Phil Peagler's Obituary
G. Phil Peagler, 87, passed away under the care of Hope Hospice on March 24, 2012.?á He was born in Homerville, Georgia. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy in the Panama Canal during WW2. ?áHe went to Georgia Tech under the G.I. Bill.?á He moved his family from New Orleans, LA to Ft. Myers in 1957 to serve as a civil engineer on the construction of the Florida Power and Light Plant. Phil was married to Merle Elaine Sharpe who preceded him in death.?á He is survived by 2 daughters, Carol Peagler Myers and Elaine Gage (Rick Gage); grandchildren, Luke Myers and Rhonda Gage whom he dearly loved. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 5:00PM at Hope Hospice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral, FL.?á The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday from 4:30 PM until time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to Hope Hospice in his name.?á Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is assisting the family.
