Garnette Barrington Beecher's Obituary
Garnette Barrington Beecher, 57, a resident of Florida since 2013, formerly of New York passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica.
Garnette was a very kind and loving person. He was always there for family and friends when they needed him, day or night. He touched many lives. Everywhere he went he became friends with the people he encountered, which are spread out in the USA, England, Canada and Jamaica. He was preceded in death by his father, George Barrington Beecher.
Garnette is survived by his loving mother, Gloria of Lehigh Acres, FL; one daughter, Swabian Beecher of Jamaica; four sisters, Jullett Dillon of New York, Georgia Edwards (Junior) of Canada, Marcia Vinson (Michael) of Virginia and Claudette Beecher of New York; five nieces and nephews, Brian, Warren, Jonell, Tariq and Travis; Aunt Paulette (Ofel) and Aunt Janet (Tabby); as well as many extended family members and many beloved friends.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Friday, October 28, 2022 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:30 PM, Friday, October 28, 2022 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Serenity Garden Mausoleum.
