Gary Wayne Lewis' Obituary
Gary Wayne Lewis passed away August 24, 2019 after a fierce battle with dementia. He is predeceased by his son, Scott Michael Lewis, mother, Alma Lewis, father, Ollie Lewis, two brothers Robert and Donald. He is survived by his wife Mary Lewis, and step son, Brian Caldarelli, sister Kathy Diane Newman (Michael) and brother Richard Lewis (Terry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, most of whom live in North Carolina. Gary was born in Thomasville, North Carolina and moved to Baltimore at age 18 months where he grew up. He moved back to North Carolina and worked as a tobacco farmer and pig farmer for several years which he enjoyed. He served in the Army National Guard for 3 years and worked in sales most of his life. He enjoyed making people feel comfortable and to laugh. E loved Christmas and planned for it all year long. He had a heart of gold which now rests with the Lord in heaven.
