Gary Joe Mundy's Obituary
Gary Joe Mundy of Alva, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2023 following some recent health challenges. He was 83 years old.
Gary was born in Carter County, Kentucky on June 7, 1940, the proud son to Daisy Ester (Patrick) and James A. Mundy. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and later held a number of appointments in the human resources sector in several local governmental organizations. He was the loving husband to and leaves behind his treasured wife, Christina J. Mundy.
A Visitation for Gary will be conducted from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday, March 8, 2024 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907, (239) 936-0555. Immediately following the Visitation at 11:00 AM, family and friends will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Gary will be laid to rest at the Veterans Garden.
