Gary E. Welker's Obituary
Gary E. Welker, 80, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Ft. Myers, Florida. Born on June 24, 1944, Gary dedicated many years of service to General Motors Corporation, retiring in 2001. He was a proud alumnus of Clermont Northeastern High School and Eastern Kentucky University. His commitment to service extended to the Army Reserves, where he served with distinction.
Gary was a devoted husband to Pat Welker and a loving father to Shane Welker (Sandra), Ryan Welker (Debbie), Michelle Brink (Fred), and Kelly Cordell (Jamie). He was also a cherished grandfather to Logan, Abbie, Nicole, Carson, and Caitlyn. His sister, Janet Sue Friedrich and her husband Bob, survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary Janet Welker.
An avid golfer, Gary also found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them. His life was a reflection of his values of dedication, family, and service.
