Mary Ann, My heart is saddened deeply by this news. I was in Ft. Myers on the 10th, and had sent Gary an email about then saying I was going to be there and would like to get together. And that was my birthday. When Gary didn’t reply, I had emailed Exler if he knew Gary’s phone number or email. I just sent Exler another email a few days ago, and he replied yesterday with the news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter. Write me when you can.
Mary Ann,So sorry to hear of the passing of Gary. He was a good man and I always enjoyed working with him. It’s a shame you didn’t get to spend more of your retirement time together. He will be missed for sure! I think it was a couple of years ago when Gary and I had lunch and I told him of all the time I was dealing with my dad and his cancer. Ironically, dad just passed away the same day that Gary did last month. Gary told me to spend as much time as possible together because you never know how long you have.You will get through this and it will take time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim
