Georgann Waddell Christopher of Fort Myers, Florida who died August 25, 2012 was born March 10, 1922 in Marion, Ohio. She was the fifth daughter of Orel Spaulding and George Earl Waddell.?é?á A graduate of Harding High School, she received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University and did graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh. Georgann married Byron Glenn Christopher in Akron, Ohio on May 1, 1943.?é?á Georgann and her husband lived in Youngstown, Ohio from 1946 to 1951 and then in Poland, Ohio, a suburb of Youngstown, from 1951 to 1991 when they moved to Fort Myers, Florida. Mrs. Christopher was employed as a supervisor, at Mahoning County Welfare in Youngstown for 7 years and then as Executive Director of Mahoning Valley (Ohio) Camp Fire, Inc. for 10 years.?é?á After her retirement, she served as a management consultant to the National Camp Fire, Inc. organization for 8 years.?é?á During this time, she also served on the Executive Board of the Greater Youngstown (Ohio) United Way.?é?á She was also a charter member of the Poland (Ohio) Women?ó?é¼?äós Club.She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Byron; her son David Michael (Kimberly) Christopher and her daughter-in-law, Theresa in Louisville, KY.?é?á She was predeceased by her older son, Jeffrey George Christopher.?é?á She was also?é?á predeceased ?é?áby her sisters, Ruth Wiant, Naomi Williams, Jane Myers, and Martha McAdams. She has three grandchildren, Angela Giangrossi of Leesburg, Florida, Matthew Christopher of Norwich, Connecticut and Captain Steven Christopher, US Air Force and three great-grandchildren, Andrea and John Jeffrey Giangrossi and Reagan Christopher. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
