George Storter Brown, 85, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on March 19, 2012 at the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Florida.?á Mr. Brown was a native of Fort Myers, FL and was ?áborn on April 28, 1926 ?áto W. Harold Brown and Nell Elizabeth Storter Brown.?á He was a 1944 graduate of Ft. Myers High School. He was preceded in death by his first wife Alice Brown who died in 1993.?á He was retired from the Petroleum Industry where he had been a dedicated employee for 36 years, employed as a bookkeeper. George proudly served his country from 1944 to 1946 and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy.?á He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and step father.?á He is survived by his wife, Alberta Brown; his children, Valerie (Pat) Kelly, Georgia (Ron) Daly and Beth (Ralph) Solomon; his grandchildren, Susan, Jamie, Lindsay, Leslie, Thomas and William; ?ágreat granddaughter, Ava; His sister, Helen Brown; his step children, Elizabeth Emanuel, Gene Murphy and David Murphy and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.?á Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 12 Noon in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?á The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service.?á Interment with military honors will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
