George R. Cureton's Obituary
George Richard Cureton formerly of Glendale Hts, IL and Phoenix, AZ. passed away on 2/15/2012. He was a resident of Ft. Myers since 1988. Ric attended Glenbard West H.S. in Glen Ellyn Il and graduated from Wheaton Central H. S. in Wheaton, Il. in 1966. He received his AA degree from College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, Il and also attended Marin County Jr. College in Marin County, CA. In his younger days, Ric was an amateur musician, and enjoyed playing bass guitar with the group Things to Come. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Ripple Cureton and Frances O’ Shaughnessy Cureton. He is survived by his loving son G. Richard (Amy) Cureton Jr. and his granddaughter Rachel Cureton. He is also survived by his sister Leslee (Alan) Rabin, nieces Courtney (David) Meyer and Staphanie Dickson, and four grand nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his former wife and friend, Jane Carle. A memorial service will be held later this month at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens. Please call Memorial Gardens (239)936-0555 for details.
