George A. Damisch Sr.'s Obituary
George A. Damisch, Jr, 98, He was born in Elgin, IL on December 7, 1921 to Beulah and George Damisch Sr. away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, September 30, 2020 in Cape Coral, FL .
George was a united states Army Veteran during WWII. He comes from a family of hard workers; George was the oldest of three children so he worked on his father's farm from a young age up until he graduated high school. He graduated college with a degree in chemical engineering and shortly after became a Chemist in processing food. Throughout his career, George travelled all over the world opening and starting up plants. He met his wife; Josefa in Panama and they were married in 1976. George retired from Borden International after 40 years of service. He was a good father, husband and friend. George was a parishioner of St. Andrew Catholic Church where his wife worked with several ministries for over 30 years. George supported and died living the Great devotion and promised to honor the Blessed Mother Mary, “To Jesus through Mary.” George was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Damisch and three daughters, Shirley, Catherine and Linda.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Josefa Damisch; three children, Barbara, Pilar and George Alan; one brother, Donald; grandchildren, Michael, Rommel, Veronica, Sofia and many more; as well as his family in Syracuse and Illinois.
George’s last words to his wife, “Remember to give my love and kisses to Mother Mary, Lord Jesus and God, George Alan, Sofia, Pilar, Veronica, Barbara and my many grandchildren.”
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Monday, December 7, 2020 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, FL 33904. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery where the United States Army will present Military Honors.
