George Ebaugh's Obituary
George Ebaugh, a veteran and resident of North Fort Myers, passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born on February 27, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Herbert and Belle (Mercer) Ebaugh.
George served in the United States Air Force as an airman first class for four years and received honorable discharge. After his service, he dedicated his life to taking care of his family of five daughters with his first love, Evelyn. Evelyn sadly passed away in 1974. He later met and married his second love, Betty, while working as a machinist at Hedwin Corporation. After retiring from Hedwin corporation, he enjoyed wood crafting, gardening, and traveling. They later moved to Florida is 2005. George then said his final goodbyes to his second love, Betty, in 2019.
George will be remembered for his most admirable work ethic, his love and dedication for his family.
George is preceded in passing by his parents, wife Evelyn, wife Betty, daughter Jane Gannon, and many brothers and sisters.
George leaves his loving memory with his surviving children, Mary (Robert) Bauhaus, Betty (Jerry) Jung, Teresa Ebaugh, Barbara (Tom) Wolfe, son-in-law Andy Gannon, stepchildren Donna Jenkins (Gus Taylor), Sandy (Mark) Pilles, Shelly (Larry) Fitch, Mark (Paula) Smith, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
George's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Garden with the tender care of his final arrangements. George's graveside service is scheduled Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11AM; located at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
