George J. Gibson, Jr., of Fort Myers, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011.?á He was born September 28, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late George J. and Lucille Gibson.?á He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Bachelor?ÇÖs Degree.?á He worked for Western Electric, AT&T and retired from Lucent Technologies in St. Louis following over 30 years of service as an Executive in 2002.?á Following retirement, he worked for Rooms To Go Furniture in Fort Myers. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á Left to cherish his memory is his son, Robert Leininger of Pittsburgh, PA; two step-sons: Stephen and Richard Savage of St. Louis; his sister, Shelly Gibson Mitchell of Pittsburgh, PA and two brothers: David Gibson and Kenneth Gibson, both of Pittsburgh. ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pittsburgh.?á Local arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.?á Online condolences may be made at: www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
