George Bernard Hobson, 89, of North Fort Myers, FL died December 20, 2016 at Consulate Healthcare in North Fort Myers. Per Mr. Hobson’s wishes, there is to be no services. He will be laid to rest beside his spouse, Earlene at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorials have been suggested to American Cancer Society. George was born May 26, 1927, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the son of John Alfred and Nellie Grace (Gaskins) Hobson. George was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He married Earlene C. Chancey and they enjoyed many years together. During his spare time, George loved watching vintage, black and white television shows such as Andy Griffith, John Wayne etc. George leaves behind to help cherish his memory his children Michael Hobson of Los Angeles, CA, Patrick Hobson and his wife Sue of N. Fort Myers, Suzanne Hobson; grandchildren, Lucas, Ella, Lilly, Brittany, Taylor and great granddaughter, Julia Diane “Boo” Jones. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Hobson.
