George Leonard Moscardini's Obituary
George Leonard Moscardini, 87, of Cape Coral, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife, Tomi, and family. He was born February 22, 1930 to James and Lucretia (Cataletto) Moscardini. He proudly served the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 – 1953. He retired from the New York City Police Department as a detective in 1981. Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Cape Coral. After retiring, he worked for Regional Southwest International Airport in Security. He also enjoyed golfing.Mr. Moscardini is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Thomasina Moscardini; his children: James Moscardini of Great Mills, MD, Joanne Giorno (Frank) of Greenwich, CT, Marion Moscardini of Pompano Beach, FL and Diane Allenbaugh (Craig) of Fort Myers, FL; his sisters: Susan Moscardini of Brooklyn, NY and Grace Moscardini; his grandchildren: Diana, Salvatore, Regina, Tina, Robert, Christopher, Tana and Stefana; his great grandchildren: Isla, Baby Butler and Baby T and his nephew, Thomas Moscardini (Jeanne). Also surviving are his beloved pets: Spike and Minnie. He was preceded in death by his brother James Moscardini.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Hudson Valley Hospice (www.hvhospice.org).
