George Joseph Peckham of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, April 30, 2017 following some recent health challenges. He was 96 years old.George was born June 16, 1920 in Reno, Nevada, the proud son of Frances Esther (Wickham) and Alfred Rufus Peckham. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who saw combat operations in the Pacific Theatre. He was an accomplished agricultural nutritionist who specialized in the proper care and maintenance of livestock with a specialty in poultry. He was married to and leaves behind his loving wife Eleanor (Holmes) Peckham.A Memorial Service for George will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 inside the Chapel at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 10051 Plantation Road, Fort Myers, Florida 33966, (239) 274-1200.
