George Schwab's Obituary
George Schwab of Labelle, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 4, 2016. He was 91 years old.George was born on December 4, 1924 in Centerville, Indaina, the proud son of Velma (Helms) and Elmer P. Schwab. He was one of five children with two brothers, Dewey and Danald and two sisters, Roberta and Dorothy. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant.He leaves behind his son Brian Schwab of Richmond, Indiana and 8 beloved grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory is a number of extended family members and scores of prople who were happy to know George and call him a friend.A Memorial Service for George will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the First Christian Church of Labelle, 138 Fort Street, Labelle, Florida 33935, (863) 675-1366. Immediately thereafter George will be transported to Sarasota National Cemetery where Military Honors will be extended by the Army and he will be laid to rest.Arrangements for George’s final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
