George Pitt Senchak's Obituary
George Pitt Senchak, 93, of Cape Coral, FL died at his residence on November 12, 2014. A funeral service will be held 9:30 AM, Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorials are suggested to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. George was born February 21, 1921, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Onufrey and Mary (Shinewsky) Senchak. He married Olga Crimaldi on October 20, 1946 in New Jersey and lived in Nutley, NJ for over 40 years. He had served in the US ARMY during WWII. As a civilian, George was employed for 32 years as a bus driver. He was a member of the New Jersey Transit Union. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories, loved watching CNN and listening to music, spending time with his family and especially loved walking on the Boardwalk on the Jersey Shore. Surviving are his son, Ron Senchak and his wife Rhetta of Manchester, UK; daughter, Valerie VanNess and husband Tom of Cape Coral, FL; son Dale Senchak and wife Debra of Raleigh, NC; brother, Melvin Senchak and wife Madeline of New Jersey; grandchildren, Vanessa, Leon and Ostap and his boyhood friend, Archie Burke. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Andrew, Walter and Peter Senchak and his grandson, Christopher.
