Georgeann Christman's Obituary
Georgeann?á Christman, 80, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012.?á Georgeann was born September 11, 1931 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Millard Thomas Martin and Janie Elizabeth (Dickison) Martin.?á She was predeceased in 2003 by her husband of 41 years, Charles Christman.?á She was one of 9 children and was preceded in death by 6 of her siblings, Elsie Waugh, Paul Martin, Nellie Jo Jordan, Margie Hall, Bill Martin and Eddie Martin.?á Surviving sisters are Laura Cascio of Livonia, MI and Betty Holbrook of Fort Myers, FL.?á Georgeman leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jerry Christman (Sherry), Rocky McIntosh (Dennis), Randy Cannon and Paul Christman (Julie).?á Georgeann was a wonderful Grandmother and was much loved by her surviving grandchildren, Chuck Christman, Mike Christman (Diane), Pete Turano (Bobbie), Georgeann Hoose (Matt), ?áCallen Christman and Nolan Christman; her surviving great grandchildren, C.J. Christman, III, Gary Michael Christman, Jr., Lauren Christman, Rocklyn Turano and Jenna Mae Turano;?á First and foremost Georgeann loved her FAMILY and friends.?á She was a woman of strong faith so she was very active in her church, Saint Michael?ÇÖs Lutheran Church.?á She loved to dance, especially the ?Ç£Jitterbug?Ç¥.?á She loved traveling, experiencing and enjoying all the places she and her husband had been fortunate enough to visit. Georgeann Christman was the ULTIMATE caregiver, not only to her family but to friends and anyone else she thought might need a helping hand.?á She will be missed by everyone who had ever met this warm, generous, loving lady and had had the joy of experiencing her giving nature.?á Georgeann?ÇÖs family would like to extend a large Thank You to the staff and caregivers at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral, FL 33909 and request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Hope Hospice.?á Their care of our Mom, Grandmother and Great- grandmother (?Ç£Granny?Ç¥) ?áwas ?áloving and gentle and their support, offers of comfort and acts of kindness to the family was very much appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.?á Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012 between the hours of 6:00-8:00 PM.?á Services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
