Georgette Beazley's Obituary
Georgette Louise Beazley (n??e Nuttle) was born in Baltimore on June 6, 1923 and moved to Glen Burnie at age 12. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1940. She lived in Glen Burnie until 1993 when she moved to Savannah Club in Port St. Lucie, Fl a few years after becoming a widow. In 2003, she moved to Homewood at Williamsport Retirement Campus in Williamsport, MD to be close to her only child, Georgette B. Lundquist. In 1944, she married Oliver Brooke Beazley and had 45 wonderful years together until his death in 1989. She worked for many years as a school secretary at Marley Junior High School and then at the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County in Annapolis. She was the daughter of Isabel M Taylor and William J. Nuttle and sister of twin brothers, William and Melvin Nuttle, all deceased. Recently she had moved to Fort Myers, Fl to Shady Rest Care Pavilion near her daughter and son-in-law. She passed away at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fl on August 8, 2009 after a hospital stay. Surviving are her daughter Georgette B. Lundquist and son-in-law Joe Lundquist of Fort Myers, Fl and Hedgesville, WV: grandchildren Jody Bopst and husband Bruce of Westminster, MD and Ted Lundquist and wife Gina of Limerick, PA, sister-in-laws Bette Meiser of Glen Burnie and Frances Nuttle of Bel Air: nieces Velma Schleicher and husband Dave, and Bonnie Schleicher and husband Jim, all of Bel Air, MD, niece Robin Metz of Port St. Lucie, Fl and nephew Harry Meiser and wife Lori of Glen Burnie: great grandchildren Bridget Bopst, Marilyn Cole, Jordan and J.T. Lundquist. Georgette enjoyed life and loved to travel all over the world and made many friends along the way. She always said she looked forward to every day and tried to live life to the fullest. Her passions were her family, travel, reading and chocolate! Her sense of humor and wit were loved by everyone. She had a love of animals even in her days at Homewood, Hope Hospice and at Shady Rest with the visiting animals. The family wants to thank the staff at Shady Rest Care Pavilion and Hope Hospice who were all so wonderful in her last days before her final journey to Heaven.
