Gerald "Jerry" Duval Jones' Obituary
Jerry Jones, 90, formally of Seafan Circle, North Fort Myers and a 68 year resident of the Fort Myers area died Wednesday August 12, at his daughter’s home in Royal Palm Beach. Jerry was an Eagle Scout, served our country as a Staff Sargent in the US Air Force, and was a police officer in Fort Myers for 33 years obtaining the rank of Captain.He is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary Sue Jones, children – William “Willie” Jones of Fort Payne, AL, Iva Locklair of Royal Palm Beach, Ann Barrow of Claxton, GA, Ronald Jones and Davy Jones both of North Fort Myers, siblings Samuel Littleton Jones of Arizona, Gloria Alderman and Betty Gallman of Fort Myers and Irene Hanrahan of Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his younger sister Marie Tessier and his eldest son Robert “BJ” Jones.Jerry leaves 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.Services at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens – Visitation Tuesday 8/18 5 to 6:30 pm followed by Funeral Service at 6:30pmGraveside Burial Wednesday 8/19 10:30am
