Gerald Lee Wipf's Obituary
Gerald Lee Wipf, more commonly known as "Jerry" by his family and friends, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side under Hospice care on Monday, January 27, 2020. He was 78 years old.
Jerry was born in Huron, South Dakota on October 28, 1941, the proud son of Ann Rose (Decker) and Ernest J. Wipf. He was the loving husband to and leaves behind his devoted wife, Mary L. (McNamara) Wipf. He was also the cherished father of sons Terry (Jamie) and Tim Wipf, both of Fort Myers, FL. He adored his four Grandchildren, Taylor, Carson, Parker, and Beckett Wipf. He was privileged to be brothers with Don of Seattle, WA and Rod (Shirley) Wipf of Yankton, SD and was the proud uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Jerry enjoyed his 35 years at Ashland Oil, working for Both SuperAmerica and Valvoline Instant Oil Changes and talked often of the many wonderful people that he worked with. The teams he built and the time investing in these people was a great source of pride.
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will take place from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Heritage Palm Country Club in Fort Myers.
