Geraldine Clara Clay's Obituary
Geraldine Clara Clay, 93, of Fort Myers, went to be home with her Jesus, May 15, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday May 19, 2016 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to the American Heart Association, McGregor Baptist Church, McGregor Baptist Church Food Pantry. Geraldine was born October 4, 1922 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Ambrose Theodore and Clara (Noffke) Richard. She was employed by Fisher Body during WWII. On March 8, 1947, in Detroit Michigan, she married Clifford E Clay. Geraldine was a member of McGregor Baptist Church. She also enjoyed making crafts for her churches ministries. Her life revolved around her family and she cherished being with them when possible. Surviving are her children, Donald C. Clay and his wife Norma of Alpena, MI, Linda Redfern and her husband William, Jr. of Alva, FL, Richard Clay and his wife Alisa of Punta Gorda, FL, Barbara Bittner of Fort Myers, FL; brother, Dennis Richard and his wife Dorothy of Detroit, MI; brother in law, Elbert Green of Michigan; grandchildren Stacy Bauer, Donald S. Clay, Shauna Smith, William Redfern III, Patrick Redfern; great grandchildren Clay Bauer, Mason Bauer, KayDee Clay, Kelly Clay, Kristy Clay, Kyle Clay, Taylor Smith, Peggy Redfern, Jennifer Redfern, Taryn Hoadley, Morgan Hoadley, Hunter Redfern and Connor Redfern. Preceding in death are her husband, Clifford E Clay and sister, Dorothy Green.
