Glenn Allen Walker's Obituary
Glenn Allen Walker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, son, and friend passed unexpectedly at his home in Ft Myers, Florida on December 23, 2018.Glenn is survived by his wife Deborah Walker, and their children Nicole, Christopher, Dean, and Patrick. Glenn was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren; Madeline, Rosalie, Jettrin, Vinrote, and Rain. Glenn is also survived by his sisters Delores, Louise, and Evelyn and his many family and friends.Glenn was born in Seattle, WA on May 1, 1953 and moved to Maryland as a child. He graduated in 1971 from Surrattsville High School, Clinton, MD. He married his high school best friend and soulmate Debbie Cleaver on February 8, 1975 in North Beach, Maryland. Together they were blessed to raise four children in a house filled with love, patience, and laughter. Glenn was the proud owner of a Maryland based business, Choice Home Center, that he opened in 1976 with his brother-in-law, and has remained a staple in Calvert County, Maryland for over 42 years. In 2007, Glenn and Debbie moved to Florida to be surrounded by wonderful friends and live the life they dreamed of. His hobbies included golf, fossil hunting, reading, music, and the arts.Glenn will be most remembered for the love and empathy he had for the world and everything in it. He changed the life of all those around him and always gave selflessly. He bestowed his family and others with a never-ending example of the Catholic faith, hope, and love. His loss will be ever present.We will be celebrating his life at a Visitation being held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Mass of Christian Burial for Glenn will be celebrated the following day, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Pope John XXIII Church, 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers, Florida 33912, (239) 561-2245. Glenn will thereafter be laid to rest during a private ceremony to be held at a future undisclosed date in the Sylvan Terrace Section at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
