Gloria Purin of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Tannersville, PA, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009. She is survived by her husband, James Purin of Cape Coral, her sister, Kathy Sezerbar, wife of Ken Sezerbar of Boynton Beach, FL, her children: Melissa Bogli of Effort, PA, Meridith Megna, wife of Frank Megna of Effort, PA, James Purin, Jr. and his wife, Angela Purin of Tamaqua, PA, Christine Kostecky, wife of Mike Kostecky of Tuscarora, PA, grandchildren: J.J. and Brynn Bogli, Frank E. Megna, Jr., Kaitlyn Purin, Melanie, Michael, Steven and Adam Kostecky.Gloria was employed for 30 years and retired from the Service of the Pennsylvania State Police. She also was responsible for the operation of a wholesale business operated by herself and her husband. In 2005, they sold it and retired to Cape Coral, FL.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the J.J. and Brynn Bogli Trust Fund, c/o James Purin, 1728 SW 49th. Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33914 or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Cape Coral Elks Club #2596.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
