On behalf of the membership of the DeWitt Fire Department, I offer our most sincere condolences on your loss. Gordon was a dedicated Fire Chief, teacher and devoted friend to all of us. The flag at our new station will fly at half-mast for thirty days in his honor. Gordon will also be honored during Onondaga County's Annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony. May he "Rest in Peace".
Sorry to hear of Chief Gordon's passing. I first met him when I joined the DFD back in 1974 and learned a lot from him. My sincerest condolences go out to his family. RIP Chief.

I knew Chief Ingram from the time I toddled in to the fire station with my dad until he retired from DeWitt FD. It took me many years to realize what a great man he was and how much he affected the man I became. I don't think there's a greater tribute to a person than that! RIP, Chief GI
Gloria, I was very sorry to hear of Chief Gordon's passing. I spent alot of years with the Chief, and he taught me many aspects of fire fighting in those year. My condolances to you.
