Grace Margaret Lucas' Obituary
Grace Margaret Lucas, 79, a resident of Punta Gorda, FL since 2016, formerly of Beach Park, IL passed away under the care of Tidewell Hospice on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born April 5, 1943, in Ishpeming, MI to the late George Barry and Margaret (nee Cornish) Skewis.
Grace was retired from Knauz Motors in Lake Bluff, IL. She enjoyed her retirement in Florida, by spending time with her husband, playing cards, reading, dining with her close friends, golf cart rides and her beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her son, Lee B. Ives and Stepson, Brian S. Lucas.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John Lucas of Punta Gorda, FL; Daughters, Sheena Ives-Shelafoe of Beach Park, IL, and Kimberly (Andrew) Narlock of Antioch, IL; Daughter-in-law, Juliette Lucas of McCordsville, IN and Bonus daughter Megan (Brody) Schilling and family of Hood River, OR. One brother, George (Becky) Barry of Denver, CO; Grandchildren, Cade Ives-Ketlinski, Katie (Ryan) Morrison, Emma Lucas, Addison, and Braiden Narlock; two great grandchildren, River, and Sebastian; as well as many extended family. She also had lifelong friends, Mike and Jill DeBates, Sallie Prichard, the Copenharve family, Ron Golec, and Becky Barry.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Club House 29200 Jones Loop Road in Punta Gorda, FL on June 4th from 1-4pm.
