Grace Stevens' Obituary
After 92 wonderful years of providing love and care to anyone she met, sweet Grace Stevens accepted her wings and became the newest angel in Heaven. Affectionately called Nana Grace by family and friends she was a true “southern lady”. Warm, delicate, gracious, considerate, loving and genuinely caring only begin to describe the ways of this gentle woman. She never met a stranger and you never left her presence without being fed physically and emotionally! A visit with Nana Grace always made you feel better about yourself and the world around you. She had the incomparable ability to boost your spirit no matter the circumstance through genuine compliments, happiness and love. Welcoming Nana Grace into Heaven with Jesus was her loving husband Art, daughter Patty Ann Day, granddaughter Marty Stevens and son-in-law David Barbur. Meeting Nana Grace at the Rainbow Bridge will be her beloved and extremely spoiled canine loves Zsa Zsa, Tonya, Gonzo and Emily. Remaining here to carry on her legacy of love and caring for others is her daughter, who was the source of her greatest joy, Tammy Barbur, son Omar (Marsha) Stevens, grandsons Kristopher Fleishman, Evan Barbur, Adam Stevens, Bryan Rutushin, granddaughters Victoria Raines, Sissie Wilkie and her best friend in life, Anne Roberts, whose true friendship and love comforted her all their time together. A remembrance and celebration of this sweet lady’s life will be held Saturday, January 18th, 11:00 a.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with visitation at 10:30. In lieu of flowers Nana Grace would prefer a donation to Hope Hospice. In honor of Nana Grace, make someone’s day or life a little better through nurturing their spirit with care and love.
