Gus Patas' Obituary
Gus Patas of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 23, 2017 following some recent health challenges. He was 88 years old.Gus was born on April 29, 1928 in New York, New York, the proud son of Pauline (Keriazis) and Thomas C. Patas. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and later spent his working career as a Field Engineer for International Business Machines. Following retirement, Gus remained in top shape by continuing the regimen of jogging he was committed to for many years. He also volunteered over 5,000 hours during the span of 20 years at Health Park Medical Center in Fort Myers.Sadly, Gus leaves behind his devoted wife Mary (Muchway) Patas and two cherished sons.Immediate funeral ceremonies are private. Arrangements for the final care of Gus have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
