Guy Memoli ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á ?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?á?áOctober 4, 2012 He arrived in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area in 1962, with a pension check in his pocket and a set of golf clubs over his shoulder, after 22 years with the New York City Police Department (NYPD). A talented athlete, Guy played for the Flatbush Kings in Brooklyn, NY.?á Within two years of his retirement, he earned his PGA card and was the Assistant Golf Professional at Cape Coral Country Club.?á No one loved the game more. In 1967, Guy saw South Lee County as the land of opportunity.?á His entrepreneurial spirit culminated in the construction of more than 1800 condominium and single family homes in the Myerlee Community and others projects along the Winkler Road corridor. He joins his wife Rose, of over 68 years, who passed on December 14, 2006.?á He is survived by his brother, Claude; his two sons and daughter-in-law, Phil, Al and Sharon; 6 grandchildren, Guy, Kathleen, Bruce, Charles, Margo and Max; 5 great grandchildren, Stephen, Brian, Julia, Maddox and Madison; 3 great-great grandchildren, Caleb, Luke and Audrey Grace. A viewing will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday October 7, 2012, a Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907.?á A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the ?áChurch of the Resurrection of Our Lord at 4PM on Monday, October 8, 2012. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice at Shell Point or Special Equestrians would be appreciated.
