H. Jack Dooling's Obituary
H. Jack Dooling, 76, of Estero, Florida passed away on July 8, 2011 at Joanne?ÇÖs House in Bonita Springs, FL.?á Mr. Dooling was born on July 27, 1934 in Kankakee, Illinois, a son of the late Henri C. Dooling and Mary Theresa Ratcliffe.?á He moved to Evanston, IL when he was six months old.?á H. Jack attended Penn State University.?á He honorably served his country from January 1952 until being discharged in January of 1956 in the U.S. Air Force ?áwhere he trained as an Airborne Radio Operator with ?áCounter Intelligence.?á Following his military service he went into business in Southhampton, PA, as a Goodyear Tire distributor for 40 years.?á He was a member of the Rotary Club of Huntingdon Valley where he was a past president.?á He was also a charter member and past president of the Rotary Club of Churchville and was a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International. He belonged to Manufacturers Golf and Country Club of Oreland, PA for 40 years and the Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club of Bethany Beach, DE for 20 years.?á He presently was a member of Wildcat Run Country Club since September of 2000. Mr. Dooling started running in 1965 and competed in 13 marathon races including the Boston Marathon in 1979.?á He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Anne Lawson Dooling after 49 years of marriage and a sister, Donna Darling.?á He was a dedicated member of ?áLee County Sheriff?ÇÖs VOICE program since 1999 being named volunteer of the year twice.?á During this time he met and married ?áJanet Przybyszewski.?á He is survived by his wife, Janet Dooling of Estero, FL;?á ?áhis son, Andrew Lawson Dooling and his wife Jean and there children, Tristin and Lawson of Naples, FL.; ?áhis daughter, Lisa Anne Forlini and her husband James and there children, Meghan, Connor and Ian of Warminster, PA.; step children, Teresa, Marianne (Ken) and John (Stephanie);?á ?áhis sisters, Bea Boylan, Patricia Gertie, ?áJill Hoffman and Gerry ?áPrignano and many nieces and nephews.?á Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?á A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967.?á Entombment will be in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
