Hal Rigney's Obituary
Hal Rigney of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away unexpectedly in Jacksonville, Florida after some recent health challenges. He was 73. Hal was born June 4, 1943 in Gap Creek, Kentucky to the late Tom and Neva Rigney. He graduated from Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio and worked as a self-employed auditor. After moving to southwest Florida in 2001, he was an active member of McGregor Baptist Church. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, dear brother and loving grandfather who will be sorely missed. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Gene Rigney. Hal is survived by his beloved wife of 53+ years, Sandra Rigney and their three children Lisa Rigney-Thaxton (Jeff), Lori Rigney-Roberts (Kevin) and Matthew Rigney (Terri). He is also survived by his sister, Wanda Chambers (Keith) and 10 grandchildren. A Memorial service for Hal will be 11:00 AM, July 15, 2017 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Fl. 33966.
