Harold F. Augustus' Obituary
Harold Fitzsteven Augustus, 84, of Brooklyn, NY and Fort Myers, FL passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn, NY. He was born March 19, 1931 in Belize, Central America to the late Harold Augustus and Adeline Leon Augustus. He was a retired machinist with Consolidated Edison. In addition to his career with Con-Ed, Harold served as a minister in the Methodist Church before furthering his ministry with the Salvation Army in both New York and Fort Myers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Grace Elvira Smith Augustus (2008). Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Sheila Everett and Yvette Augustus, both of Brooklyn, NY. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at The Salvation Army of Lee County 10291 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33919. Following the ceremony, he will be laid to rest next to his wife, Grace, in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made in his honor to The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry and Glade Counties, 10291 McGregor Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33919.
