Harold E. (Hal) Simones' Obituary
Rev. Dr. Harold E. (Hal) Simones was given to earth by God on May26, 1926, and returned to God December 5, 2013. He was born in Hanging Rock, Ohio, the son of Edward F. Simones and Florence Browning and was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Gilbert Henry; his wife, Marsha; and his daughter, Diane. Rev. Hal was a graduate of Johnson University, Defiance College, Christian Theological Seminary and Yale University. He received the call in 1946 and was ordained on June 17, 1948. He was a minister for the Disciples of Christ and UCC . Rev Hal served on the Regional Church Boards in Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida and on the Florida Council of Churches. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner and Sir Knight Templar. In 2003, he was made Pastor of Visitation Emeritus at Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church here in Fort Myers. Rev Hal is survived by daughter, Pamela Simones, of Fort Myers. Daughter, Mrs. Debra Bomberger; grandson and wife, Eric and Stephanie Jones; granddaughter, April all live in Kansas City, Missouri.
