Harold J. Hoover of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away suddenly on May 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was 88 years old.Harold was born on April 1, 1928 in Mechanicsville, Iowa, the proud son of Lillian (Engelking) and Earl Hoover. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and later worked as a Territory Supervisor for the BF Goodrich Tire and Rubber Company. He was married to and is survived by his loving wife Peggy A. (DeWitt) Hoover.Surviving are his wife of 69 years Peggy, daughter Beverly A. Morey (Ronald H. Pine), son, Richard H. Hoover (Kecia Sleezer), grandchildren Stephanie G. Cox (Emerson Cox), Emily Glasgow (Zach Glasgow), sister-in-law Norma Jean Havlin and nephew Jim Havlin (Stacy St. John).Memorial gathering to be held at Colonial Family Center at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 11:00 AM Friday, July 28, 2017.
