Harrison B. Austin Harrison B. ?Ç£Harry?Ç¥ Austin, 74, of Punta Gorda, FL died Monday, February 28, 2011.?á He was born March 12, 1936 in Covington, VA to Louis and Gladys Austin. Harry?ÇÖs love of airplanes & flying started in elementary school, close to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH.?á He served in the U.S. Air Force, became an air traffic controller, air traffic supervisor, director of training, flight instructor & corporate jet pilot. ?áHe lived in Ohio for 62 years & moved to Florida in 2004.?á Harry will be greatly missed by his wife, Melodie; ?ásons, Michael Austin, Thomas (Barbara) Austin, Dale (Vanessa) Abraham; ?ádaughters, Linda Austin, Joyce Austin and Dawn (Kenneth) Egbert; ?ásister, Doris (Steve) Motko and a brother, Gene (Mary Lou) Austin; 5 grandchildren.?á A Celebration of Harry?ÇÖs life will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda, FL.?á In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 5067 West Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950 .?á Arrangements are being handled by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
