Harry L. Walton's Obituary
Harry L. Walton, 88, of Fort Myers, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. He was born July 26, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Fort Myers from San Jose, California in 2000. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Upon his release from service Mr. Walton earned a college degree in photography and had a life long career as a photographer in the aero-space industry. He was an active Mason and member of the American Legion. In his spare time he was a talented woodworker. Mr. Walton was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Arleen May Zimmer Walton. He leaves to cherish his memory, his three daughters: Cathy Walton-Smith (Michael) of Grand Lake, CO, Judy Duncan (William) of Vancouver, WA, and Debbie Schaefer (Jack) of Cape Coral, FL. His 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren will miss him greatly. Graveside services were conducted May 5, 2014 in the Field of Honor at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Harry Walton.
