Hayward M. Schwartz's Obituary
Hayward M. Schwartz of Fort Myers, Florida passed away with his loving family at his side on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 following some recent health challenges. He was 78 years old.Hayward was born on December 25, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, the proud son of Frances (Mantel) and Saul Schwartz. He was educated at Georgia Tech where he received a Master’s Degree before embarking on a career with International Business Machines (IBM), where he was the Project Director for a number of key ventures. When his working life came to an end in 1998, he relocated to Southwest Florida to enjoy the retired life.He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Velma (Rifenburgh) Schwartz, his loving daughters Melanie Lee, Amy Filippini, Stacy Glynn, Susan Bullard and Beth Umlauf and sisters Alice Benston and Karen Phillips.
