Helen Amelia Brittenham's Obituary
Helen Amelia "Sis" Brittenham, 80, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida. Helen was born on November 30, 1944, in Gary, Indiana, and lived a life filled with love, dedication, and joyful memories shared with family and friends.
Helen built a remarkable career with SunTrust, retiring as Vice President of Operations. Her strong work ethic, leadership, and loyalty were admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Outside of her professional life, Helen found joy in many passions. She loved bowling, fishing, and golfing with her beloved husband, Jim, and cherished time spent on family vacations. In retirement, she continued her love for adventure, traveling and making lasting memories with her best friend, Diane.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James Brittenham; her daughter, Melissa Look; her sisters, Carolyn Trigleth and Betsy Harrison; and her brother, Sonny Bosten. She is survived by her son, Bill (Dawn) Brittenham; her brother, Rick Bosten; her grandchildren, Brittney, Sydney, Hailey, Peter, Madysen, Josh, Ashleigh, and Noah; her great-grandchildren, Billy and Brantley; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
A celebration of Helen's Life will be held in January, where family and friends will gather to honor her legacy and share cherished memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to the family's heart.
Helen will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and deep love she had for her family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
