Helen Viola Muller's Obituary
Helen Viola Muller joined her redeemer on January 13, 2015 at the age of 96. Her love of Florida brought her to Fort Myers from Edison, New Jersey in 1976. She had met and married William Joseph Muller in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. They were married for 57 years until his death in 1992. In Edison, they brought up their three surviving children, Carol M. Perine of Ridgefield, CT, Janice M. Hall of Suquamish, WA, Darlene M. Kittinger of Fort Myers and their deceased son, William J. Muller. She was proud of her seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.Helen’s home the last five years has been Winkler Court where she was known for her gentle smile and lovely silvery white hair. Prior to that she resided at Presbyterian Apartments.When she first came to Florida she lived at Sunset South on Sanibel Island. Walking the beach for shells was her favorite pass-time and her shell collection was impressive. She moved from Sanibel to Horizon Village in North Fort Myers. She attended mass several times a week at St. Francis Xavier in Fort Myers and was an active member of the Council of Catholic Women.Helen loved nostalgia and for many years had a booth called “Helen’s Magic Memories” at Fleamasters. Her love of music, “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” a favorite song, and dancing was evidenced as she swayed in her grandson’s arms at his wedding in 2012.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
