HENRY ?Ç£BUD/HANK?Ç¥ FANCY Henry ?Ç£Bud/Hank?Ç¥ Fancy, 91, of Fort Myers died December 7, 2011 (Pearl Harbor Day) in the care of Hospice House in Fort Myers, Florida.?á Henry Franklin Fancy was born in Gorham, New Hampshire, on December 1, 1920, ?áson of the late William and Gladys Fancy.?á He was a physician who served proudly as a Colonel in the United States Army, including service throughout the United States, Europe, Panama, Korea and Japan.?á After his retirement from the U.S. Army in 1970, Henry moved to Fort Myers, where he began his second career as a physician for the Lee County Health Department. Following his retirement from his second career, he continued to volunteer as a physician for the Senior Friendship Center.?á He was a member of St. Luke?ÇÖs Church in Fort Myers. Dr. Fancy is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Ukolowicz (Rich) of Largo, Deborah Fancy (Jay) of Fort Myers and Cindy Sikkenga (Paul) of Fort Myers.?á He is also survived by his beloved ?ágrandchildren, Benjamin Svoboda (Raima) of Colorado and Rachel Sikkenga (Ryan) of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Fancy, his sister, Irene MacLeod and by the love of his life, wife Olive ?Ç£Cooksey?Ç¥ Fancy. Private family services will be held.?á Memorial contributions in Dr. Fancy?ÇÖs memory may be made to St. Luke?ÇÖs Church, 2635 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers, FL 33901 or to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or to a charity of your choice. The family is being assisted by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
