Mr. Henry F. Peters Jr.'s Obituary
Henry F. Peters, Jr., 88, of Fort Myers Beach, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was born January 7, 1931 in Detroit, MI to Henry F. and Alma (Tecla) Peters. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Lawrence Institute of Technology where he received his degree in Civil Engineering. He enjoyed traveling with his wife of 64 years, Mary Johanna Peters, who preceded him in death in 2015. He also enjoyed live performances in the Fort Myers Repertory Theater. He also loved golfing as well as deep sea fishing.
Mr. Peters is survived by his children: Janet P. Kandel, of Chevy Chase, MD, Janice Gillies (Phil) of Weston, FL and Carol Peters of Fort Myers. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Kara, Lauren, Ross and Max and his great grandchildren: Talia, Mason, Ava and Camden.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 3, 2020 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
