Herbert William Steinke's Obituary
Herbert William Steinke, 93, of Brevard, passed away at Tore?ÇÖs Home #1 Saturday, January 22, 1011. He was born June 29, 1917 in Rhine, Ohio to the late Albert and Elenora Steinke. He was a resident of both Dayton, Ohio and Fort Myers, Floirda for most of his lifetime before relocating to Brevard two years ago. Throughout his life he was an award-winning manager of all aspects of General Motors Dealership Sales and Service.?áHis proudest achievement was the design, development and management of Val Ward Cadillac in Fort Myers, which became one of the top ten dealerships in the United States.?áHe and his wife of fifty six years Frances (Fran) Ann Newsock Steinke who preceded him in death in 1996 enjoyed a lifelong enthusiasm and participation in aviation, tennis and R.V. travel.?áHe was also preceded in death by his son James Herbert Steinke and a granddaughter, Dr. Karen Steinke. Survivors include one son, Jon (Phil) Steinke and his wife Janna of Penrose; one grandson, Dr. Brian Steinke of Phoenix, AZ; one step-grandson, Greg Morris and family of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Mrs. Norma Terrell of Dayton, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Hospice and Home Health Care of Transyvania Hospital, Dr. Dale Nash and Staff, College Walk, First United Methodist Church Staff and Friends and especially the loving and caring staff of Tore?ÇÖs Home #1. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?áInterment was in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
