Howard Kulka Hanwit's Obituary
Howard Kulka Hanwit of Cape Coral, Florida passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, January 4, 2015 following a recent illness. He was 80 years old.Howard was born on June 28, 1934 in Bronxville, New York, the proud son of Kathryn (Kulka) and Abram Hanwit. He attended Hobart College in Geneva, New York and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and later attended City College in New York and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He was also a member of the New York Army National Guard. Howard spent the majority of his working life as a purchasing agent for General Foods in Rye, New York. He also held a similar position with Jacobson Pharmacy based in Mount Kisco, New York. Throughout his life Howard was a man of many interests but dining out, dogs, gardening and travel were among his favorites.He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Marcia (Blaustein); his daughter Helen Mara Hanwit-Arney and son-in-law Christopher; grandchildren Bess Halia Arney and Kai Lawrence Arney; his niece Alison Harre and her husband Sean and their children Jonah and Julian; his nephew Jonathan Hanwit and his wife Guusje and their children Elai and Kees and his first cousin Rabbi Jerome Davidson and his wife Gail.
