I am so glad that my sister met you and therefore we did too. Barbara and I had no family down here and you quickly became a big part of our family as did Ed. What wonderful times we had together. You had the courage to take us landlubbers out to sea and teach us what to do and that took real courage and stength. We will cherish the wonderful items you carved for us, the fancy dinners you cooked for us, but most of all the love and goodness you shared with us. We miss you Howard and we will always miss you.

Howard will be so missed by us and all his family and friends in Caroga Lake, NY. I remember that he loved to cook and would invite friends to eat. He sent oranges every winter up to the snow bound….I think we’ll still be looking for him walking his little dog with his wonderful smile and those beautiful blue eyes. My husband, Russ and I along with our son Dane will remember him as a friend and chef…And to his family, we are sorry for your loss.

Howard, you were so much fun to have as a next door neighbor. You always had a project- working on Pearl, tinkering with stuff, or the wonderful woodworking projects you made for your family. I am sure they will treasure those projects always. Brandy would escape and come into my garage looking for attention and to eat the cat food. She would chase a ball for hours and was such a hunter. You took me kayaking once and it was great fun. You and Chuck were always up to something and kept the place hopping. I had such great neighbors on Aruba and you were one of them. You are loved and missed.

Dear Howard, I feel so blessed that you were such a special part of my life for the last 18 years. Thank you for all the good times we had together. And thank you for being with me and helping me through all the sad and fearful times. So many people feel alone and unloved in their old age. We never felt that, because we had each other. You were always such a good,kind,loving gentleman, to me and also to my son, who you treated as your own. I know there is a special place in Heaven for you. You will always be in my heart.
