Howard Richard Showe of Fort Myers, Florida passed away with his loving family by his side following some recent health challenges on Thursday, December 24, 2015. He was 89 years old.Howard was born on March 25, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland, the proud son of Laura (Churchey) and Charles Showe. He was a combat veteran of the United States Army during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Showe was a member of Faith United Methodist Church .He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Annabelle (Larrick); daughters Linda Matlock of Greenville, SC and Deborah DuBois of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren Lisa Clark of Colorado and Thomas and Kimberly Matlock of SC; five great grandchildren Kailee, Benjamin, Jack, Lauren and Ethan. He also leaves behind a number of extended family and many other people who were proud to call him a friend.Immediate funeral services are private.
