Ingeburg Jutta Preisinger's Obituary
Ingeburg Jutta Preisinger, 90, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1977, formerly of Flushing, NY passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born October 19, 1931 in Chemnitz, Germany to the late Ernst and Emma (nee Abendrath) Schaarschmidt.
Inge lived a remarkable life. She married the love of her life in Germany and made their way to America. Inge came to America and landed in Flushing, New York 1954, where she became a loving mother of her two girls.
In 1977, the family moved to Cape Coral, FL. They purchased Friendship Lanes and became a large part of the community. After 35 years, Inge and her daughters sold the business so she could enjoy life and travel the world.
Inge was a survivor of 5 types of major cancer and showed her strength every day.
Inge loved her family, including her daily companion Scooter, the family dog. She was a strong, loving, sweet woman who made anyone around her feel loved. Her laugh was full of life all the way until she passed. If you knew her, you loved her- “Mama”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhard in 1990.
Inge is survived by her two loving daughters, Petra Marcantonio and her husband, Gary of Cape Coral, FL and Tanya Preisinger of Cape Coral, FL; niece, Evelyn Vogel and her husband, Peter of Australia; niece, Christina Sachsenweger of Germany; nephew, Ralf Schaarschmidt, II of Vermont; nephew Ralph Preisinger, of Massachusetts; as well as several extended family members and friends.
