Iris Joy Christian's Obituary
Iris Joy Christian of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Hope Hospice North, Cape Coral, FL. She was 87. She was born June 21, 1928 in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua to the late Coleman and Evelyn Christian. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbad, Clifton Gammie (December 13, 1969). Iris is survived by her children, Glen Hodgson of Puerto Cabezas, Nicauragua, Laurel Gammie McDonald of Fort Myers, Florida, Maebel Gammie of Puerto Cabezas, Nicauragua, Pearl Gammie of Puerto Cabezas, Nicauragua, Karen Gammie Twombley of Fort Myers, Florida, Cyril Gammie of West Palm Beach, Florida and Leila Gammie of Cape Coral, Florida. She is also survived by her sister, Olive Bendless; seven grandchildren, Charlotte Gammie, Karla Gammie, Lidice Chavez, Ralston Wheelock, Pamela Wheelock, Whitney Wheelock and Hamlet Chavez; and two great grandchildren, Olivia German and Matthew Wheelock.
